Taipei International Book Exhibition 2012 第二十屆台北國際書展
Currently fourth largest in the world and the largest international book exhibition in Asia, the Taipei International Book Exhibition (TIBE) was established in 1987 and is to be held in the spring of every year. Taking place at all three exhibition halls of the Taipei World Trade Center 台北世界貿易中心, TIBE features book of all genera for all ages from Taiwan and all over the world. The Guest of Honor of the 2012 TIBE is yet to be announced. TIBE will start on February 1st, 2012 and ends on February 6th, 2012. (February 1st is professional only.)
2012 Taiwan Lantern Festival in Changhua 台灣燈節在彰化

Celebrate the 15th day of this Chinese New Year of Dragon by going to Lugang 鹿港, Changhua 彰化 to see this year’s main theme lantern – Dragon Flying in Flourishing Clouds 龍翔霞蔚 at the Lugang Township Stadium 鹿港鎮立體育場. The festival exhibition will start on February 6th, 2011 and end on the 19th of the same month. This year’s theme lantern is the biggest yet – it weighs over 40 tons and is taller than 20 meters. A parade will be in session in the afternoon on February 6th, featuring a marching band, traditional performances, and a group from Tokyo Disney Resort. Taiwan International Festival of Arts 2012 台灣國際藝術節

Launched in 2009 aiming to “cross borders”, ”cross cultures” and “crossover”, the Taiwan International Festival of Arts (TIFA) 2012 features original productions, whilst inviting internationally acclaimed artists and arts groups from Australia, China, France, Germany, Israel, Japan, Russia, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, UK, and the US. Presented by the National Chiang Kai-Shek Cultural Center 國立中正文化中心, performance will be held at the Main Plaza in front of the National Theater and Concert Hall 國家兩廳院前藝文廣場, in the National Theater 國家戲劇院, in the National Concert Hall 國家音樂廳, or at the Experimental Theater 實驗劇場 on 3F of the National Theater in Taipei City, Taiwan. TIFA will start on February 16th, 2012 and ends on April 1st, 2012.
Taiwan International Orchid Show 2012 台灣國際蘭展

The annual Taiwan International Orchid Show (TIOS) is a professional exhibition focusing on orchids. Orchids account for over 70% of Taiwan’s horticultural export. Along with the TIOS, an orchid international symposium will also be held at the Taiwan Orchid Plantation 台灣蘭花生物科技園區, located in Tainan 台南. TIOS will be held during March 3rd to 12th, 2012.

The 34th Asia Pacific Dental Congress (APDC) will be held in the capital city of Taiwan—Taipei during June 14th to 18th, 2012. It will also be the 18th Annual Scientific Meeting & General Assembly of Chinese Taipei Association for Dental Sciences (CTAD). The theme of the congress this year is “Evolution and Harmony for Modern Dentistry”.
